And that has made all the difference.”

Using Flowers to Manifest Radiant Beauty and Self-worth

When I look at a light pink rose I see a flower that embodies a radiant loving beauty. Its light pink hue glows in any setting. Its soft pink colour is gentle, compassionate, self-forgiving, innocent and pure. Flowers gently embrace us when we immerse ourselves in its delicate beauty … whispering, “You are safe,” “You are innately worthy of love,” “You are worthy of healing,” “You are radiantly and completely beautiful.”

As a society I find that we tend to struggle with this notion that we are worthy. Worthy of love with no conditions, no bounds. A love that embraces us no matter what we are feeling, no matter what so called mistakes we have made in our life or things we haven’t yet done. We live in a society that tells us our worth is based on all sorts of external achievements, and only then can we feel even a glimmer of worthiness. This couldn’t be more opposite to the truth. We are worthy because we are human beings and we exist. We are made of pure love, the same love that created the flowers and the beauty of nature … love is our birthright. It is challenging to come to terms with this, and we may subconsciously push it away and deny it, but this is the truth that we haven’t woken up to yet as a society.

In this practice I will show you how to incorporate the feeling of being innately worthy of the most powerful love of all … the love that we each carry within us. This powerful technique I like to practice is, “flower embodiment.” If this resonates you and if time allows, give this practice a try.

Begin by connecting with the energy of your body, just like a flower is completely connected to its roots, its leaves, its petals and its stem, connect with your chest, your feet, your head and your hands. This may take a few minutes to really feel into the body, remember to be gentle with yourself, as this may not initially be easy to do, particularity if you don’t connect with your body very often.

As you centre yourself in your own inner body for a few minutes (perhaps 3 – 5 minutes or so), begin to imagine the most beautiful flower that currently comes to mind. Notice its captivating beauty, notice its ability to be so gentle with itself and completely present and connected with itself. Slowly begin to imagine that you are this radiant precious energy that is this flower, this flower is within you. You are no longer feeling the energy of your body but the energy of this beautiful flower. If some uncomfortable feelings begin to surface in this practice, imagine this flower energy gently holding your uncomfortable feelings, with self compassion, and unconditional love. You, just like this flower, are a energy pure, radiant love.

Imagine this beautiful energy radiating from your body and glowing all around you. If it helps, you can imagine this energy as a certain colour. I like to imagine a beautiful, glowing light pink colour emanating from my body, however use any colour that resonates with you.

As you go throughout your day, regardless of where you are or what you are doing, imagine you are radiating this beautiful, healing flower like energy.

If possible, it helps to be physically present with a flower that resonates with you and you find powerfully beautiful. Immerse yourself in its beauty, its textures, its radiant energy and feel yourself and this flower becoming one as you connect to this energy. Imagine that this flower is healing you and, made of pure light, compassion and love. Imagine it is radiating this energy to your heart and your entire body, helping you to remember your innate worth and beauty.

I find this to be incredibly powerful when struggling with self-worth, self-forgiveness and self-compassion. When embodying this beautiful flower I cannot help but want to pour love into myself, and be gentle with myself throughout the day. I cannot help but see myself as delicate, beautiful and worthy of love. The harshness, the self-criticism and the shame are all dissipated and slowly healed into the beautiful compassionate flower that I am.

As you continue practising this visualisation technique you will begin to feel more radiant, an embodiment of beauty and light. You will feel that your presence is beautiful and worthy of taking up space, worthy of asking for what you want in life, worthy of speaking your truth and being your authentic self, worthy of unconditional love. As you embody a beautiful flower you embody the energy of luminous beauty and unconditional love.

It may take some patience, but you may find this practice to be very healing to the inner body, as self love and beauty begins to flourish.

Here is a collection of some more beautiful flowers that have aided me in this flower embodiment practice … may this visualisation remind you of all that you truly are.
